Biographies of Principals


Amanda H. Haynes-Dale, Co-Founder and Managing Director

Ms. Haynes-Dale is a co-founder and Managing Director of Pan Reliance Capital Advisors and a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. 


Ms. Haynes-Dale has one of the longest track records in the fund of hedge funds industry.  Since the inception of her flagship portfolio in 1991, Ms. Haynes-Dale has launched and managed a range of multi-manager products tailored to the needs of her clients, which include many of today’s most sophisticated investors. Under the leadership of Ms. Haynes-Dale, Pan Reliance has received the 2013 International Hedge Funds Awards for Fund of Hedge Funds Advisor of the Year, USA and the 2013 International Hedge Funds Awards for Fund of Hedge Funds Advisor of the Year, New York. Pan Reliance has also been featured in the following publications: WSJ, Bloomberg Brief, HFMweek, and the Hedge Fund Journal. In 2011, Ms. Haynes-Dale was recognized as one of the 50 Leading Women in Hedge Funds by The Hedge Fund Journal and Ernst & Young.  Her views on the hedge fund industry have been featured on CNBC, Opalesque, and other media outlets.


Ms. Haynes-Dale has also been active in advising other hedge fund allocators. From 2004 to 2013, Ms. Haynes-Dale served on the investment committee of the Rock Maple Funds, a fund of hedge funds group in New York and Tokyo.  From 1998-2004, Ms. Haynes-Dale served on the Advisory Board of Key Asset Management, a fund of hedge funds group that is now part of Swedish bank SEB. Prior to launching her own business, Ms. Haynes-Dale was a registered broker-dealer representative and investment manager for Wertheim & Co. (now part of Morgan Stanley).


Ms. Haynes-Dale has served on the Spence School Board of Trustees and the Spence School Alumnae Board of Directors, the Board of Directors of American Friends of Sadler's Wells, the Board of Directors of the Texas Chamber Orchestra, and the Board of Trustees of the Philippines-U.S. Council.  Ms. Haynes-Dale attended New York University’s Stern School of Business, the Madeira School in Greenway, Virginia and the Spence School in New York City.


 

Justin Lowe, Co-Founder and Managing Director

Mr. Lowe currently serves as a Managing Director of Pan Reliance Capital Advisors and a member of the firm’s Investment Committee.  In addition, Mr. Lowe is responsible for the firm’s business development functions. While at Pan Reliance, Pan Reliance has received the 2013 International Hedge Funds Awards for Fund of Hedge Funds Advisor of the Year, USA and the 2013 International Hedge Funds Awards for Fund of Hedge Funds Advisor of the Year, New York. Pan Reliance has also been featured in the following publications: WSJ, Bloomberg Brief, HFMweek, and the Hedge Fund Journal.


Mr. Lowe previously served as Managing Partner of Reliance International Research LLC (RIR), a New York-based company he founded which provided advisory services in the alternative investment space. While at Reliance, he was jointly responsible for advising on over $1 billion of assets invested in hedge funds across a wide range of strategies.

Prior to RIR, Mr. Lowe worked at Broadview Associates, a technology investment bank and venture firm.  Mr. Lowe started his career as a consultant for Bain & Company where he served in the Geneva, Paris, London and Munich offices. Since 2004, Mr. Lowe has served on the Investment Committee of Marcuard Heritage AG, one of Switzerland’s leading independent wealth managers.  


Mr. Lowe received an MBA from Columbia University School of Business and a B.Sc. in Economics from the London School of Economics.



Michael Hanisch, Analyst 

Michael Hanisch is the Controller & Head of Operations for Analytical Research, and who fulfills an anayst role for Pan Reliance. Prior to Analytical Research, Michael was the Controller & Head of Operations with Aviva Investors from 2014 to 2016 where he worked in the hedge fund investing group. From 2010 to 2014 Michael worked at UBP Asset Management as a Manager of Portfolio Management & Senior Fund Controller. Before UBP he worked as a hedge fund accountant at Pinebridge Investments (formerly AIG Investments), as an Assistant Vice President at Bank of America Alternative Assets & as an accountant at GAM (USA) Inc. Michael holds a B.S. degree from Franklin Pierce University.
